Rob Kaufhold, President

Rob Kaufhold’s passion for archery began at a very young age, watching his father and grandfather practice in the backyard to compete in state, regional, and national tournaments. As his own interest in the sport blossomed in his teens, he competed at the highest levels – winning the U.S. National Championship as a senior in high school in 1978. He earned an archery scholarship to James Madison University, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing. During his collegiate career, he was also a four-time All-American in the Collegiate Division.

The vision for Lancaster Archery Supply began to take shape during Rob’s teen years and through college. In May 1983, remodeling began on the first Lancaster Archery showroom – a 25’ x 40’ space in a simple block building that now serves as the Lancaster Archery Shooting Center at the company’s current location.

Rob and Carole have always given generously to help archery grow – supporting local, regional, national, and international archery organizations; clubs and volunteer groups; their local church; and other charitable causes. They were motivated to create and fund the Lancaster Archery Foundation to share and promote the countless blessings that archery has given them personally, their family, the more than one hundred families supported by Lancaster Archery Supply, Inc., and its dealers and customers.

The Kaufholds have seen firsthand how transformative a life spent in archery can be – for youth and teens, and for helping seniors maintain an active lifestyle.

“It is our greatest wish to make resources and information available to allow archers to pursue their passion for the sport throughout their lives,” Rob said. “Especially as it relates to balancing the realities of education, occupation, and family priorities in living ‘an archery life.’”

Carole Kaufhold

Carole began working with Rob at Lancaster Archery in February 1994. She joined the team with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and she currently serves the organization as Chief Executive Officer.

Carole’s parents first introduced her to the sport of archery.  They enjoyed target archery, and Carole traveled with them to different tournaments.   Carole enjoys recreationally shooting on the range with her friends and family, watching Rob and the kids compete at archery tournaments and sharing in their love of hunting and the outdoors.  As the kids have grown, she finds it truly gratifying to witness the personal development, opportunities and friendships that participating in archery has provided to them.

Carole truly appreciates the opportunity to give back to the sport and the members of the archery community who have brought so much joy and opportunity to her entire family.  Through the Lancaster Archery Foundation, she hopes to continue to grow interest in the sport of archery, provide education grants to the archery community and provide training opportunities for competitive athletes.

Steve Yoder

Steve started his career at Lancaster Archery in 1995. In the early years, Steve worked in the retail showroom assisting customers and helping with the daily tasks that come with a brick-and-mortar retail location. In 1998 Steve moved to purchasing, which led to his current role as VP of Purchasing. His team is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with over 600 vendors worldwide. These relationships help to keep Lancaster Archery stocked with more than 30,000 skus.

A friend introduced Steve to the sport of archery in the late 1980’s. Archery quickly became a family hobby, which found him shooting local, regional, and national 3D shoots with his younger brother and dad. Spending the majority of his free time in archery shops, it didn’t take long for his hobby to turn into a passion. Steve is excited to be part of a foundation that will help grow the sport that has provided so many great memories for himself and for his family and friends.

Steve is looking forward to watching both elite athletes and novice archers benefit from the various opportunities created through the academy. It’s great to know that we are building a foundation that will continue to help promote the sport of archery long after we are gone.

Eric Yoder

Eric joined Lancaster Archery Supply in 1998 and has held a variety of roles throughout the company’s growth. In his current position as Operations Manager, he focuses on enhancing efficiency and productivity by optimizing processes and working hands-on with employees across all departments.

Eric was introduced to archery in the early 1990’s by his father, and he competed regionally for many years, eventually turning his hobby into a career.  Eric’s admiration of Rob Kaufhold is what grew his love for the sport of archery and created a passion within him to take care of those who are involved in the sport.

Eric is excited about the opportunities created through the Lancaster Archery Foundation, and he looks forward to seeing archers impacted by the foundation develop into competitive athletes.

Jared Weaver

Jared came to Lancaster Archery in 2007 after spending several years in his family’s construction business. He eventually realized he wanted to pursue a career devoted to his passion for archery and bowhunting. Introduced to archery early in life through a local club program, Jared soon began bowhunting and learned more about the craft from older mentors while chasing whitetails in the north woods of Pennsylvania. The archery bug took hold, leading him to hunt whitetails across several Midwestern states and eventually pursue elk in the West – now his top priority each hunting season.

Jared began his career at Lancaster Archery as Sales Manager and later served as Director of Sales and Marketing from 2018–2024. During his time with LAS, he recognized the importance of introducing young people to the sport – both for the industry and as a father. He introduced all three of his children to archery through the Lancaster Archery Academy, and all eventually joined the Lancaster Archery JOAD Team. Jared traveled the country with his kids, competing in national tournaments and witnessing firsthand the personal growth that competitive archery fosters. His oldest son and daughter are testaments to the rewards archery can provide, both earning college scholarships to the University of the Cumberlands, where they have competed as part of multiple national championship teams. Seeing how archery can create life-changing opportunities for youth continues to fuel Jared’s passion for growing the Lancaster Archery Foundation. He also serves as Secretary on the Executive Board of Directors for S3DA.

In 2025, Jared embarked on a new chapter, joining a local sporting goods retailer in his hometown of Helena, Montana. Looking ahead, he is excited to help develop youth in archery through coaching his local S3DA club, providing scholarships and grants, and supporting the growth of archery programs. His focus will be on promoting the Foundation through outreach to the industry, customers, and prospective recipients.

Emily Samuel

Emily is the Senior Director of Administrative Operations at Lancaster Archery Supply, and has worked within the accounting department since 2014. She is happy to be part of the Lancaster Archery Foundation to assist with providing financial oversight and to work with other members to achieve the Foundation’s mission - “Providing resources to grow, educate and develop athletes in competitive archery.”

Emily is especially excited to expand the support Lancaster Archery Foundation is able to provide to colleges to offer scholarship opportunities for collegiate team members, since these funds provide direct support for archers to continue to grow within sport and pursue higher education.
